Hello Participants!
The planning team is so excited to see you in just a few days! Just a few final updates & reminders for you...
Important updates for you...
We are so excited to come together with you all next week! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions! Have a great day! - Planning Team Are you ready to share?
At the core of the beauty of ECET2 is the sharing of practices in a way that is collaborative and enriching. At this time, we are working with participants to secure a vibrant series of sessions for the convening! If you selected that you might be willing to facilitate, we will be contacting you to recruit you. We have a small number of participants, so that means that many of us will be facilitating. The best part about that is that this is the best place to hone your skills for this! A safe, judgement free environment where everyone is there to learn from each other! Let us know what your session will be here! The other piece that is prevalent in ECET2 is the Colleague Circles! We will be contacting those who stated that they are willing to lead a circle to provide the details on that activity. This convening gives us all the opportunity to spread our wings and try new things. If you didn't indicate that you are interested in facilitating or leading a circle but have given it some more thought. Check out the leadership website page for more details or contact us at [email protected] We are looking forward to ECET2 Southcentral with great aniticipation!!! District Nominees are In!
We are so excited to have the list of participants who were nominated by their districts to attend ECET2 Southcentral! We have reached out to these amazing teachers and are now in the process of confirming their attendance for the final participant list! Thank you districts for offering your teacher leaders the opportunity to gather, empower each other, and share their skills and practices! Hello Southcentral Districts! It is time for us to start building the participant list for our ECET2 convening on October 26-27 in Kenai. We are looking forward to talking with each of you over the next week or so to confirm your list of participants. This is an invitation only event where we are recruiting those you recognize for their excellence in teaching and their leadership. It will be so enriching to have all these teachers together to share, grow, make connections and empower each other! If you are not sure how many participants are invited from your district, please email us. Also, the number is listed in your original email from us. Attached to this post, you will find an invitation document for you to share with the participants you select. It explains what ECET2 is and where to find more information. Districts should note that grant funds cover travel and lodging and food during the convening. When you have your list of participants, please submit it to us by August 31st. Submit your Participant list here!
What is ECET2 Southcentral? An Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers (ECET2) grant was received from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation to bring together exceptional teachers in our region. The purpose of this grant is to provide a convening for exceptional teachers to learn from one another and to celebrate the teaching profession. ECET2 convenings are events created by teachers for teachers. They harness the power of teacher leader networks to deepen learning, improve the teaching profession, and better serve students. In 2016, there was a statewide convening. And this year, there will be convenings in Southcentral, Interior, and Southeast! The Southcentral convening will host teachers from KPBSD, Yakutat, Cordova, Valdez, Chugach District and Copper River Districts! Save the Dates! October 26th-27th The first regional convening will be held October 26-27 at Kenai Central High School. Teachers will participate in an opening session on Friday evening and then a full day session on Saturday. The conference costs will be supported by grant funds. This will include travel and lodging expenses for your participants. August 31st We are interested in working with you or the appropriate staff to help identify exceptional teachers to attend as participants. You will also be asked to identify participants who are teacher leaders and would be good candidates to facilitate teacher led sessions. We are asking to have these names by August 31st. Link to submit participant names: Please click here to submit exceptional teachers from your district to participate. |
